  • Philadelphia had considerable imigration from dublin, belfast, and glasgow, Ireland. This was from the time of the arrival of the first quakers in 1682.

  • The Scotch Irish migration of Presbyterians to Chester County began in 1719 and subsequent to the quakers in 1682. Chiefs of the township of Donegal in Chester County Pennsylvania include (i.e.) James Roddy.
  • Richard Orrick, LL. Dl, C, S. A., of florece, Ala., b. Aug. 22, 1814 in Fauguier Co., Va.; d. Nov. 23d 1898, in Florence, Alabamba. He was admitted to the Bar in 1848, and practiced at Moulton, Lawrence Co., Ala; in 1862 he raised a Company of Volunteers, which were designated Company H, 23rd Alabama Infantry, of which he was made Capt.; in Nov., 1863. He was commissioned Col. of the 10th Ala. Calvery and served under General Roddy.
