Mother:Evella Marie Lirette , Sex F, b. 10/13/1898.
Has children:Education: Preston completed the 2nd grade, Yvonne completed the 7th grade and later graduated (GED).
Careers: Preston Sr served as both a Mess Stewart and an MP during WWII. His career was mostly cooking
for Oil Field Companies. As he grew closer to retirement, he bought a Lugger boat with a contract working for
Texaco. A second purchase soon followed, but ended after about, 7 years. Yvonne, when she was younger worked
in a shrimp factory, just as her mother, many years before. She also done some substitute-teaching with the
public school board.
Retirement: Preston Sr. had always experimented with agriculture, as though his life depended on it.
Most early Americans were farmers and his family was no different. His enthusiasm for life and work ethic was a
very powerful influence over his children. I'm sure, the military discipline in WWII, really did build that man's
character. All during his retirement until his last day on the planet, he trawled, fished, planted and harvested.
He did everything himself, and when he could not, everybody paid the price. Yvonne had a similar character, in
that she mothered and nurtured, educated and set very high standards. She served the family, asking for very
little in return. Her peers would call her 'MISER' and somehow I understood a more selfless and dedicated nature
present, one that was bigger than, any one word, could describe. She gave her all, always and She just might out-
live us all.
