ARTICLE IX - SUBCOMMITTEES
9.1 The Chair shall appoint all Subcommittee members after first asking for volunteers. The Chair may appoint any Subcommittee
Chair.
9.2 Finance Subcommittee. There shall be a finance subcommittee. Its primary purpose shall be to raise revenue for the Committee for
the financing of its functions.
9.3 Public Relations Subcommittee. There shall be a public relations subcommittee. Its primary purpose shall be to publicize all
functions of the Committee as well as to publicize the Committee through a semi-annual newsletter to Democrats in Lafourche
Parish.
9.4 Functions Subcommittee. There shall be a functions subcommitte. Its primary purpose shall be to develop public functions of the
Committee such as the "Democratic Lifetime Achievement Award in Public Service" event.
9.5 Special Subcommittees. There shall be a functions subcommitte. Its primary purpose shall be to develop public functions of the
Committee such as the "Democratic Lifetime Achievement Award in Public Service" event.
9.6 All Subcommittee Chairs shall report to the Committee, at its next regularly scheduled meeting, in written form, a summary of the
proceedings from the previous subcommittee meeting for ratification by the Committee.
9.7 Membership on a Special Subcommittee shall not be limited only to Committee members. Democrats who are not members of the
Committee may be appointed by the Chair to any Special Subcommittee.
ARTICLE X - FINANCE
10.1 The Committee shall present a compiled financial statement to the Louisiana Democratic State Central Committee each year from
its previous fiscal year by the end of the first quarter of the new fiscal year. The statement shall be notarized and signed by both the
Secretary-Treasurer and the Chair.
10.2 The Committee shall deposit all funds received by it in an interest-bearing account in a federally insured financial institution in
Lafourche Parish.
10.3 All disbursements of funds by the Committee shall have the signatures of both the Secretary-Treasurer and the Chair.
10.4 There shall be a separate account of all funds generated by candidate filing fees. These funds shall not be intermixed with funds
derived from other sources.
ARTICLE XI - ANNUAL REPORT
11.1 The Chair shall issue to the Committee by the end of the first quarter of each year, an annual report on the affairs of the Committee
from the previous year.
ARTICLE XII - MISCELLANEOUS
12.1 The Committee shall conform in every aspect to all applicable local, state and federal laws in its functionings.
